Our Company, Our Philosophy

+++ NEW: 585-14 carat in white gold, yellow gold and red gold. +++
For more than 30 years, Nittel System has been developing and manufacturing innovative clasp systems and high-quality tubes and keys in the picturesque region of the Enz. Our product portfolio comprises unique products that can be made from all materials – from platinum, yellow gold, rose gold, white gold to silver and high-grade steel. Always designed to perfection. But it is not only the wide range of materials that distinguishes us, but also the many versions available for goldsmiths and other downstream workmanship processes. We also develop products to fulfil special customer ideas and requirements. The objective of our daily work is to make sure that our customers are satisfied. We have the appropriate solution for every challenge – unique and custom-made.

We can proudly call the design process and production of our clasps “Made in Germany“. But our company network extends far beyond our home country. We are very proud of our worldwide network of customers and partners. With every idea, with every development and with every satisfied customer we come a little closer to what we have set out to be – and we work on this continually. Out of conviction and with heart and soul.

Yours sincerely, Werner Nittel

Our Concept

The secret behind the unique concept of Nittel System is a universal clasp system that offers goldsmiths and jewelry manufacturers infinite possibilities for implementing their own exclusive designs. Ni interchangeable clasps give you as much freedom as you require to implement your ideas without having to forgo a top-quality clasp system – true to our slogan: only one world with Nittel-System!
The Ni interchangeable clasps are practically invisible. Unlike classic clasps such as e.g. ring clasps, they do not compromise the aesthetics. In addition to this, they are more comfortable for the customer, as the key and the spring tube of the Ni interchangeable clasp technology connect perfectly. Simply press and turn to open and close the necklace.

Our Products

SHORT TUBES WITH BASE AND PEARL EDGE

DESCRIPTION

The tube with base and without pearl edge is ideally suited for soldering in or onto clasps. The tube with pearl edge is particularly suitable for gluing pearls or stones in place. The pearl edge is wider than the bore of the work piece. This renders the bore itself invisible.

DIMENSIONS

These tubes are 5 mm or 6 mm long and available with or without pearl edge. The external diameter measures 3.4 mm and is compatible with all keys.

LONG, CONTINUOUS TUBES

DESCRIPTION

Our long tubes are ideal for soldering into beads or other clasps. Here the internal retaining pins for the spring and the plate are parallel.

DIMENSIONS

These tubes are available in 0.5 mm increments from 7 mm to 20 mm. The external diameter measures 3.4 mm and is compatible with all of our keys.

KEYS AND ADAPTORS

DESCRIPTION

The keys are the counterparts to our tubes. The keys are what make the Nittel System function. The adaptor is fastened securely by pressing and turning the key into the tube.

AVAILABLE VERSIONS

We have a diverse range of keys to offer:

Adaptors: Our adaptors connect elements that incorporate Nittel tubes.

Key 1.5 mm for threading: is used for pearl necklaces with silk thread.

Key 1.8 mm for threading: this key is ideal for pearl necklaces or gemstone necklaces with a stronger thread or a thin steel filament.

Key 2.5 mm: this key is ideally suited for very heavy gemstone necklaces with a strong thread or steel filament.

Pierced key 1.5 mm: This key has a hole in the middle. It is best suited for use with steel filaments which can be lasered or glued at the upper end.

Key for soldering: This key has a short shaft. This is soldered to metal chains.

TUBE KEYS

DESCRIPTION

Tube keys are end caps for all rounded jewelry cords, e.g. rubber, metal or leather. They are designed to be glued or soldered and fit precisely into all of the tubes in our system.

DIMENSIONS

Our tube keys are available with an internal diameter of 2, 3, 4, or 5 mm. The external diameter measures 2.6 mm, 3.6 mm 4.7 mm or 5.7 mm.

EARRING SYSTEM

DESCRIPTION

This special earring system is smaller in dimension than our normal tubes and keys. The system is ideal for attaching or interchanging a separate item, e.g. a pearl or a gemstone, on earrings or clasps.

DIMENSIONS

The earring tube is 4.5 mm long and has a diameter of 2.8 mm. The shaft of the matching key is 5 mm long and is 1.2 mm in diameter.

TELESCOPIC TUBE

DESCRIPTION

The telescopic tube can be pushed together to fit any hole length – without the edges protruding unaesthetically. With our new telescopic tube with pearl edge, it is possible to fit smaller pearls and gemstones (with a diameter of between 8 and 10 mm) with the interchangeable clasp technique to measure. The contained spring is supposed to be shortened depending on the desired tube length as follows:

Short telescopic tubeSpring length
7,0 mm3,0 mm
7,5 mm4,0 mm
8,0 mm5,0 mm
8,5 mm5,5 mm
9,0 mmdo not shorten
Long telescopic cubeSpring length
9,5 mm6,5 mm
10,0 mm7,0 mm
10,5 mm8,0 mm
11 mmdo not shorten

Available in high-grade steel and yellow, rose and white gold, the telescopic tubes are produced for customized requirements and products.

DIMENSIONS

There are two versions of the telescopic tubes available: in 7 and 9 millimetres and in 9 and 11 millimetres. Available in high-grade steel and yellow, rose and white gold, the telescopic tubes are produced for customized requirements and products.
